ellybellyToday is my Lula's 7th birthday. Which means that, seven years ago today, I was sitting in a hospital room in Switzerland with this tiny, red-faced beautiful little baby in my arms, trying to figure out how to breastfeed...

And I've been weepy all day thinking, damn, we were supposed to be watching them grow up together, I was supposed to be able to turn to you on every birthday and say, Remember...?

God I'm feeling fucking sorry for myself today, aren't I? hate that...

Tragically RightMy Foof's fifth birthday was a few Fridays ago (9th). The night before, I read her this book my parents got us -- Happy Birth Day. And I cracked out the first two year's scrap book and did a little "remember when" which resulted in her crying and wanting daddy and me being terribly depressed. (Ooops -- that was a mistake!)

I'm right there with yah!! Damn it hurts. And we thought childbirth painful.
